Smithville, Tx–According to a press release today from the Bastrop County Sheriff’s Department, the county SWAT team hit two Smithville residences Jan. 29 looking for illegal drugs.
At 508 Lee St. officers arrested DaShawn Adams, 23, on a charge of possession of marijuana. The announcement claimed 12.4 grams of the illegal weed was seized, along with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The SWAT team also went to 306 B Anderson St. where Brittany Nicole Adams, 22, was arrested on a charge of possession of 4.7 grams of crack cocaine as well as an unreported amount of cash.
Both suspects have since been released from Bastrop County Jail after posting bail to secure their appearance in court at some future date. Bail for Ramonz Adams was $7.500. Brittany Adams’ bond was set at $25,000, the sheriff’s department reported.
