Excuse me, but that is a totally unbelievable proposition. Any prudent person putting money into a real estate investment in that part of Bastrop would have made, or would have had made, a thorough search of all City and County records for just such a requirement. If Rep. Kleinschmidt's client did not, he must be the most naive and careless businessman around. City Council is to be commended for not falling all over itself to satisfy Rep.
